nteresting and insightful discussion with Bjorn Storvik of Xplore North and ex-Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Barney Crockett at #ons2022 who explained why the two cities of Aberdeen and Hammerfest have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. As two cities that have been on a very similar journey from fishing ports to energy hubs, it makes sense to collaborate and with Hammerfest developing a brand new hydrogen & CCS facility capable of storing 100 million tonnes of Co2, as well as a copper mine powered by renewable electricity, there is definitely a lot of opportunities to be excited about! #aberdeen #hammerfest #energytransition
