WorleyParsons welcomes new graduate and trainee cohort in Aberdeen

WorleyParsons’ UK Integrated Solutions business has welcomed its latest graduate and trainee intake during their graduate & trainee induction day, in Aberdeen. Following an assessment process early in the year, WorleyParsons hired eight graduates across a range of engineering and management disciplines.

The graduates & trainees will now embark on discipline specific three or fouryear development programmes where they will gain exposure to some of the industry’s most complex and challenging projects, and work with a range of customers across the North Sea. The candidates may also have the potential to broaden their skill set by supporting international projects in a host of locations such as Nigeria, Trinidad and New Zealand, among others.

Shaun Poll, Managing Director for WorleyParsons’ UK Integrated Solutions business, said  “I believe our industry is simply unrivalled in terms of the challenges and opportunities available over the course of a career. Now, more than ever, we are working hard to demonstrate this so that our industry can continue to attract the next generation of talent in the UK.

We’re proud of our legacy of fostering talented people through our learning programmes, supporting them to realise their potential and make a vital contribution to our business, our customers and the long-term success of our industry.

This is something we expect to continue to build on. To that end, we plan to bring a further 10-12 graduates into the Aberdeen business later this year.”

Interested candidates have until 26th April to apply through the company career site, with assessment centres for shortlisted candidates pencilled in at the end of May.

New graduates and trainees join a well-established early career programme and learning population at WorleyParsons. Through collaboration with Skills Development Scotland and ECITB, the business also supports candidates entering the industry through the modern apprenticeship scheme, and upskilling opportunities through graduate apprenticeships.
