Wind Multiplikator and Ocean Breeze Energy decide to prolong their successful partnership

Wind Multiplikator GmbH and Ocean Breeze Energy GmbH & Co. KG are pleased to announce the extension of their long-term cooperation. The existing Service and Maintenance Agreement between the two companies has been extended for another five years, effective January 1, 2026, until the end of 2030.

The contract extension underscores the continued successful partnership between WM and Ocean Breeze Energy and reaffirms Ocean Breeze Energy’s confidence in WM's capabilities.

Ocean Breeze Energy is the owner and operator of the Bard Offshore 1 (BO1) wind farm and the roots of its cooperation with Wind Multiplikator go back to the construction period of BO1, the first commercial wind farm in the German North Sea. With a total of 80 turbines of 5 MW capacity each, BO1 was completed by the Bard Group in 2013. Since then, Offshore Wind Solutions GmbH (OWS), which emerged from the Bard Group and became part of Wind Multiplikator GmbH in June 2023, has taken care of the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of the wind farm.

With this contract prolongation, Wind Multiplikator is committing to ensure the highest possible availability of the wind farm, to promptly rectify incidents and to keep the wind farm in top condition through targeted maintenance measures.

The scope of the service and maintenance agreement includes the execution of troubleshooting and maintenance of the wind turbines. Furthermore, all major component exchanges including the delivery of the heavy-lift vessels and the overhaul of the major components at the onshore site in Emden are part of the scope of Wind Multiplikator.
