Vulcan Announces $15m Of New Contracts

An international leader in the provision of creative solutions for the oil and gas completions market has celebrated securing $15 million of contracts with significant physical expansion close to its global headquarters, and in the Middle East.

Westhill-based Vulcan Completion Products (VCP) recently announced that, since the beginning of 2019, it has won work worth $15 million in key global marketplaces, including a multimillion-dollar contract to supply a new specialist design product to a supermajor in the Caspian region.

In addition, the company has acquired 2,500 square feet of warehouse space close to its global headquarters in Aberdeenshire.  The purpose-built facility at Kingshill Park is seen as crucial in facilitating an increase in UK-based inventory levels to ensure efficient delivery of products and services to a client base which is simultaneously growing at home and overseas.

The recently-acquired additional space, close to Aberdeen’s new AWPR route, will be instrumental in facilitating a projected increase in UK-based inventory levels to ensure efficient delivery of products and services to a client base which is simultaneously growing at home and overseas.

The increase in portfolio available has also been spearheaded by VCP company joining forces with two North East engineering machine shops for the manufacture of its Probe Reamer Shoe and Premium Float Equipment, with additional locations being explored to maximise capacity.  Meanwhile, the fostering of relationships with two UK production facilities has enabled the manufacture of key product lines. Ongoing collaborative efforts with a specialist engineering manufacturer will further expand the offering from Vulcan Completion Products.

Internationally, specialist manufacturing suppliers across the Far East have been selected to supply products for the Asian, Middle East and Caspian markets.

Also looking overseas, the company established a permanent presence in Dubai six months ago and has since experienced a sharp upward trend in demand for products and services.  Meanwhile, on the domestic front, the upturn in business has been expedited by the creation of multiple distributor relationships which have been set up throughout Europe to ensure comprehensive coverage for the region, a strategy which recently led to successful entry to the North Sea for a major client.

Commenting on the success of the year to date, Vulcan Completion Products’ founder Ian Kirk said: “The success of 2019 so far stands us in good stead as we look to the future and prepare ourselves for the next phase of our ambitious global growth plans.”

“We have worked hard to create a strong network of agents and distributors so it was important for us to set up a permanent office in Dubai, close to our regional customers, to ensure that we continue to deliver service of the very highest standard.

“Our focus on setting new performance standards with revolutionary products requires manufacturing capabilities of the very highest standard.  We are delighted to be working with like-minded, specially selected UK and overseas companies to deliver top drawer products to our growing client base, wherever they may be.”

“Our Phazer range of centralisers and our Probe reamer shoe are in demand across the world because customers are increasingly attracted to the innovative solutions and fresh approach we bring to the table.”

He added: “We are confident that the addition of our new space and the extra capacity it facilitates will spearhead further growth, and the creation of jobs within our company.

“The new building is ideally located close to the AWPR and in a thriving business community which we are delighted to be a part of.”

Specialising in design, manufacture and application, VCP draws on more than a century of combined industry experience to offer bespoke, innovative and ground-breaking solutions to explore new frontiers in application-based engineering solutions around the world. From centralisation, reamer and guide shoes to float equipment, cement plugs, stop collars and cable protectors VCP’s emphasis lies firmly on being a quality service provider, consistently exceeding client expectations.
