Online Event Set to Explore Technology for Business Continuity

Unifying the “islands of information” created by remote working and other changes in practice will be the subject of an online event due to take place next week.

The necessity for rapid and cost-effective solutions to keep a business online in times of crisis has never been more apparent than during 2020, and it is imperative to implement an agile and integrated solution in a cost-effective way. To address this, Aberdeen-based Granite PR has launched its latest online event, in conjunction with RamBase, a new player in the UK and already well-established on the global stage.

The organisations will join forces to deliver a webinar focusing on tools for business continuity which reduce fragmentation and give a single integrated view of your business processes and operation.  During the event on Wednesday, December 2nd, delegates will hear from a range of speakers and contributors.

By using international knowledge gained in overseas markets, including RamBase’s home in Norway, the company is now bringing to the UK its fresh view of cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems as continuity enablers which are accessible from anywhere.

The RamBase system manages core business functions as one complete, fully integrated system to streamline processes and information across an entire organisation.  As a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud platform, it integrates with existing systems, websites, machines, and units, and it has industry-specific functionality to enable best practice business processes, with minimal external consulting costs.

Tony Flannagan of RamBase explained: “The global pandemic has highlighted a greater awareness of how to steer a business through challenging times. However, for many businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic has revealed a lack of effective ‘disaster planning’.

“When the pandemic hit, the immediate priorities for companies were ‘sticking plaster’ solutions to determine how to stay open, while accounting for the health and safety of employees. Now, there is need for a longer-term view which extends the ability of a business to function effectively beyond a traditional operation.”

Granite PR Managing Director Brett Jackson added: “The RamBase ethos of addressing new challenges with new solutions sits very much in line with our own outlook, therefore we are delighted to join forces to deliver what promises to be an interesting and engaging event.

“We hope that combining knowledge and networking in this collaborative, digital way will facilitate an event which stimulates the international learning and discussion for which our events have become known.”

The online event will run from 10.30am until 12noon on Wednesday, December 2nd.  To book a place, visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/enabling-technology-for-business-continuity-in-2021-and-beyond-tickets-128729616749
