A massive search and rescue operation was launched after the man – who was working in Culzean field around 145 miles east of Aberdeen went missing.
The worker was reported missing at 11am yesterday.
The man’s body was later found, and his family have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man was recovered yesterday during efforts to locate a person that had been reported missing.”
