Kairvee Tyagi named as Rising Star finalist

J+S Subsea’s Kairvee Tyagi has been announced as a Rising Star finalist in the Subsea Expo Awards.

The Environmental and Sustainability Adviser is one of three young people shortlisted for the Rising Star award, which recognises someone under the age of 35 who is employed in the underwater sector, whether in underwater energy, aquaculture, marine science, defence, underwater cabling or subsea mining.

Kairvee joined the Aberdeenshire-based subsea controls specialists just over a year ago and is using her skills to develop the company’s ESG strategy (environmental, social and governance) as well as working on wider aspects of environmental compliance.

A law and business graduate with a Masters in environmental law from Dundee University, she is also an active member of the Scottish Parliamentary cross-party group on renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Kairvee’s shortlisting follows in the footsteps of J+S’s business development manager Tom Hutchison’s success in a similar category two years ago.

The Subsea Expo Awards, organised by Global Underwater Hub, recognise the companies and individuals who are leading the way in Britain’s underwater sectors each year.

The Rising Star award winner is announced at the awards ceremony on 21 February at P&J Live, held as part of the three-day Subsea Expo.
