Interview - Granite PR Aberdeen Guyana Gateway – Pamela Nicholson, EIC

Can you tell us a little bit about your involvement in the Guyanese delegation over the last five days and what the EIC are looking to do?

Well I'm actually here today because we are looking at assisting the UK companies going to Guyana so almost the opposite of what's been happening today, where a lot of Guyana companies that are here will work in conjunction with UK companies going over to the market. We are going to be hosting an overseas delegation in the middle of January, so that supply chain companies that have the potential of working in the market will have the opportunity to meet with operators and key contractors in the region to find out what the opportunities are, whether there's relevant contacts and if there's opportunities for joint ventures with local content requirements as well. We're excited about the delegation being here because it's opened up the opportunities for UK companies to also then go over to the Guyana market.

If there are any companies out there in the supply chain that are looking to find out more information about how to sign up for as part of this delegation what would be the best way of doing that?

The best way is to get in contact with myself or to go on to the EIC website look under overseas delegations and there's a full website that shows the itinerary of what we're going to be doing or get in touch with anybody in the EIC and we'll put you to the correct place
