Glacier appoints Caspian manager to strengthen regional presence

Glacier Energy Services has appointed Andrew Muir as Caspian Regional Manager to further the company’s growing business activities there.

Glacier has been working actively in the region in recent years, having established a local partnership with engineering firm, Laser Gulf, to support heat exchanger manufacture, repair and maintenance work projects in Azerbaijan, whilst working in tandem in Denholm Zholdas in similar projects in Kazakhstan.

Andrew joined Glacier in 2018 to work with the group’s business development team, focused on diversifying the company’s work in power and petrochemicals. With a strong track record in sales and business development, as well as a technical background, Andrew will support all Glacier’s product and service lines to identify growth opportunities in the region.

“The appointment of a regional manager will continue to support our existing partnerships, as well as look to grow our business across the Caspian,” commented Scott Martin, executive chairman, Glacier Energy Services. “We have seen strong investment in oil and gas projects in the region and Andrew’s dedicated focus on this market is testament to our own positive outlook for the Caspian.”

Andrew added, “I look forward to taking on a new challenge with Glacier. The Caspian region is a fast-evolving market and I believe there are strong opportunities for the business. I look forward to the new challenge.”
