Bold St Media increases headcount by a third to introduce new service offerings

Aberdeenshire-based Bold St Media has increased its headcount by a third as the brand agency introduces new service offerings including graphic design and specialist digital marketing.

Three appointments have been made since the end of 2023; Sophie Stephen joined as Digital Marketing Specialist and is responsible for services including paid social media, email marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO).  Sophie was previously employed as Marketing Manager for a technology company, where she was responsible for managing the global marketing strategy.

The team has also welcomed the addition of two Graphic Designers; Abbie Strachan joined in January, bringing valuable experience from her previous role with a Glasgow-based social media agency.  Additionally, Rowan Monk has joined as a Junior Designer with an impressive portfolio of illustration work for books, magazines, and merchandise.

Founded in 2016 as a PR consultancy, Bold St Media has rapidly evolved to accommodate a growing team, expanding its expertise and capabilities.  With the recent additions, the company’s headcount has reached ten, marking a significant milestone.  These new roles signify a strategic move to address the dynamic needs of burgeoning businesses, which increasingly demand a comprehensive blend of PR, marketing, design, and videography support.

Founder and Managing Director, Eilidh McCluskie said: "It is hugely exciting to be able to bring new skills and capabilities to the team.  Each recruit brings unique, invaluable skills, further enriching an already talented team.  As a business owner, it is crucial to keep abreast of the latest industry advancements and ensure that Bold St Media continues to excel in meeting the evolving needs of our clients.”

In the past year, Bold St Media has secured several new clients in industries including energy, construction, insurance, and agriculture.  The consultancy has expanded its portfolio beyond the north of Scotland, with clients in England and Wales.
