AFS Technologies from Aberdeen has been named the ECITB Approved Training Provider of the Year at the ECI Training and Development Awards for maintaining support to the Engineering Construction Industry throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, whilst continuing to increase it’s commitment to ECITB initiatives, by investing in the Mechanical Joint Integrity and Connected Competence programs in Aberdeen and NE england.
The engineering construction industry’s brightest and best were celebrated at a prestigious awards ceremony last week. Returning for the eighth time, the Engineering Construction Industry Training and Development Awards 2021 recognised standout individuals, companies and training providers.
AFS Technologies won the award in 2014 and are the only training provider to have won the award twice.
Managing Director, Alasdair MacNeil stated Last year ”Our whole team are delighted to have won the ECITB Approved Training Provider of the year Award. We would like to thank the ECITB for a fantastic evening at the Montcalm, Marble Arch and also all of the other nominees. It must have been a difficult decision for the judges. With more than 200 Approved Training Providers in the UK, we are honoured to have come out on top. I am so proud of our small team who have worked together through the most difficult period for our energy industry. This award comes at the beginning of an energy transition process and it really provides motivation for us to grow our capabilities in response to the new and the existing challenges that the net zero future will bring”.
