Can you tell us about what your company does?

MEDCO was found in 1992, we’re an oil and gas technology company, we develop technologies designed for improving pipe inspection for coil tubing service companies. We’ve got several packages for our software and hardware that we build for the data collection, we collect the data in the field and give access to our clients that they are able to access through the web from any remote location. We work in several countries, you can find us anywhere from Australia all the way over to Argentina.

You’re a UK based company which is why you are on the EIC and OGV Energy Pavilion, you’re here at ADIPEC for a reason, what are your main objectives for the next few days?

Meet with more clients of course, and introduce ourselves to new markets. We are also working with a lot of companies in the UAE right now on improving their current equipment and giving them newer technologies to help them by giving them an edge to competitors. We’re also looking to meet people from other countries that are coming here to introduce our product to them.

Fantastic, you’ve explained to us a bit about what you’ve got here on the stand, can you expand on that?

This is one of the new tools that we’ve just built which is a pipe inspection tool. This is used while the service company is going out in the well and we can tell them how much damage is happening to the pipe as they’re doing the job. We can inspect the pipe before it goes into the well and we can inspect the pipe after it comes out of the well so they are able to know how much damage that job has actually caused to the pipe and they’ll be able to inspect it after according to our log and our software.

So, as a British company, you’re looking to increase your footprint here in the Middle East?

Of course, and we have already been working in the UAE and also in Egypt and we have other companies that we are working with worldwide.
