Aberdeen head-quartered Forth Inspection Service, has announced a major expansion to its service offer, alongside a name change.
The newly named Forth Inspection Group, which previously concentrated solely on NDT level three consultancy services through Forth Inspection Service, now includes a specialist NDT validation and solution-based training division.
The division will offer specialist NDT validation, technical support training packages and bespoke application specific training to both new and existing clients; providing them with an all-embracing and significantly enhanced approach to their service plan.
The expansion, which has seen the company invest £50,000 in new and advanced NDT equipment, is a result of an increase in international demand and enquiries for such training, from the likes of Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
Darren Kinsella, Director at Forth Inspection Group and who will head up the new NDT validation and training division said:
“The demand for more application specific training has increased in recent years due to the heightened workload in the oil and gas sector. Additionally, there has been a significant requirement for more advanced inspection methods and I believe our specific training on corrosion resistant alloys - flange face corrosion and bolt inspection - meets the demand for this type of training.”
Forth Inspection Group currently employ four full time staff, work closely with and commission an additional four NDT level three specialist consultants when needed, and have wider plans to offer exciting post-graduate opportunities to university students in the future.
Forth Inspection Group boasts extensive experience in both conventional and specialist NDT, and currently operates internationally in the upstream oil and gas, downstream oil and gas, renewable energy, power generation and defence sectors.
