WellConnection Expands Senior Team After Significant Growth

WellConnection, the leading Norwegian inspection, maintenance and repair services (IMR) company, has expanded its senior team with four appointments across its Board and management team following 35% growth in the past year.
 
Bjørn Angeltveit has been appointed as Commercial Director to drive further business development for the group across Europe and the UK. With 25 years’ experience in drilling within the oil and gas sector, Bjørn has held numerous positions in management, sales and business development working in Asia, Aberdeen and Stavanger, latterly as Vice President of Business Development at COSL Drilling Europe. He is a former Chief Executive Officer of the global Independent Oil Tools (IOT) Group and held various management positions in global liquid handling company, Odfjell Drilling.
 
In addition, Jim Geddie, owner of Aberdeen-based Apex Tubulars Ltd joins the Board as non-executive director. Jim has more than 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, 28 of these as a company director and owner of a variety of successful businesses. In 2014, Jim launched Independent Oilfield Services (IOS), which was acquired by WellConnection in February 2019.
 
Bjørn and Jim join Jørgen Arnesen and Per Kristian Nagell, who were appointed as non-executive directors to the WellConnection Board in February 2019. Jørgen is Chief Executive Officer of Norway-based Deepwell AS and has worked in the global oil and gas industry for 26 years. He has previously held several senior management positions internationally and in Norway including Deputy Managing Director for Stena Drilling in Aberdeen, Vice President of Operations for Awilco Offshore in Norway and CEO and President of COSL Drilling Europe AS.
 
Per Kristian has 25 years’ senior management experience in the oil and gas industry and is currently a partner in Norwegian leadership development company, Raadvil Ledelse. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian hazardous-waste handling company SAR and has held a variety of Board positions as a Director and Chairman.
