Unity appoints new Wells Manager to support international growth plans

Unity, Europe’s largest independent provider of well integrity services and technology, has announced the appointment of Ian Retalic to the newly created position of Wells Manager.  The appointment will strengthen Unity’s management team as the company looks to expand its international footprint.

Ian will be responsible for senior client relations and global growth, expanding the application of Unity’s well integrity, intervention and decom solutions. He joins Unity from his most recent role at Altus Intervention where he was Business Development Manager for eight years, successfully growing the company’s global provision of well intervention and technology services.

Ian’s strong technical, commercial and leadership skills have been honed over 35 years of working for leading operators and service companies. An impressive line-up of positions include Senior Well Services Supervisor for the Brent Field at Shell; Senior Well Operations Engineer and Wells Project Manager for Baker Hughes; Drilling Supervisor and board level Director of Business Development, Marketing and Sales at Leading Edge Advantage and Global Product Line Manager at Lloyd’s Register.

Ian’s appointment to the sales team at Unity follows the appointment of wells and decom specialist Dillan Perras to the company’s board in January.
