Subsea International Ltd at EU CLIPPER Event in Kiel, 06-07 June 2019

Subsea International Ltd, the privately-owned asset monitoring technology and systems developer looks forward to engaging with the regional CLIPPER consortia, other related maritime organisations and SME companies attending the Matchmaking event in Kiel during 06-07 June 2019.

CLIPPER is a joint project of eight European marine technology clusters with the focus on expanding the competence and improving the competitiveness of marine technology businesses, regional and national political actions and future joint projects.

The regions involved: Schleswig Holstein in Germany, Pays de la Loire in France, South West Finland, Fife in Scotland, Asturias in Spain, Liguria in Italy and Split Dalmatia in Croatia. All will be represented in Kiel.

The Regions have a crucial part to play in maintaining the competitiveness of SMEs in their traditional activities, shipyards in particular, while also helping them to become leaders in developing markets such as Marine Renewable Energies (MRE) – wind, wave and tidal. Working closely together, the project’s partner regions will explore and implement new ways of supporting SMEs to improve their quality upgrading, manufacturing performance and leadership in new markets such as MREs.

The regional partners will also develop action plans for each of their territories and design political recommendations to drive them locally, in line with the analysis of relevant national and European contexts.

Subsea International has been invited to speak about the development of their innovative and disruptive remote material condition monitoring solution and their ‘entire’ hull monitoring solution being developed for the Defence and Commercial Shipping markets respectively.

In addition, Subsea International Ltd will discuss their agency involvement to break into the marine and offshore sectors for a biodegradable and FOBUS certified diesel fuel additive called DiesoLIFT™. Aimed at large volume diesel fuel users, DiesoLIFT™ improves storage tank and engine performance and efficiency while reducing emissions. Extensively field tested and working with all types of diesel fuels, including Class 3 (Heavy oil) and with low sulphur fuels, it is anticipated that DiesoLIFT™ will make significant savings on the cost of fuel, potentially between 5% and 10% annually determined by the age and condition of the specific asset.
