The EIC and RGU Rising Star MBA Award is an initiative created to develop leaders of tomorrow in the energy sector and sees the winner receive full tuition fees (worth £17,000) for the MBA Management course at RGU.
In this episode, Stuart Broadley, CEO of The Energy Industries Council (EIC) interviews the recent RGU Rising Star winners, and joined by Stuart is Dr. Anita Singh, from Robert Gordon University.

Marketing Manager and CRM Key User at TÜV SÜD Energietechnik
In her current role, Katarina is responsible for the coordination of international marketing activities for the Nuclear Power & Decommissioning Business Line, creating more visibility and awareness of TÜV SÜD’s services globally. Furthermore, she was pivotal in the introduction of CRM software to her legal entity, and continues as educator and mentor to CRM users across the business line, bringing value through transparency of the company’s sales activities. She has a master’s degree in International Relations from Charles University in Prague and is currently pursuing an MBA at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

Deputy Asset Manager (E, M & Pipelines) for px supporting the St Fergus Gas Terminal, FUKA and SIRGE pipeline networks. Chartered process engineer with experience in supporting upstream, midstream and downstream operations in the UK and internationally. Passionate in developing people to fulfil their potential and support a technology based approach to the energy transition.
Daniel Gear
Director at Voar Energy
Daniel returned to his native Shetland in March this year to focus on the opportunities that the Energy Transition presents for the Northern Isles. He leads Peterson’s operations in Shetland, is a founder of Voar Energy, and sits on the Board of the ECITB. He has a background in engineering, project delivery and corporate strategy, and he completed his MBA at the Robert Gordon University in 2020.
Ben Richardson
Owner Director at ACCEDO Group Ltd
Owner and Director of ACCEDO Group, Aldona Products and Alpha Process Controls International. Ben has a BSc in Management of Engineering Technologies, He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Energy Institute. Prior to his current role he has held various positions associated with Engineering Design, including Design Manager for Alpha Process Controls International. He acquired both Alpha Process Controls International and Aldona Products by way of a management buy-out from German Corporate Knorr-Bremse in May 2020.
