Record year sees sales up more than a third to over $8 million

A leading supplier of hazardous area products and services has set the scene for its landmark 25th anniversary by announcing that it completed its busiest ever year in 2022 with sales up 37% to more than $8 million.

Houston-based Eutex International provides electrical products including cables, glands and accessories to a growing client base around the world.  The ISO9001:2015 accredited company also holds IECEx status to facilitate hazardous area inspection and maintenance services, plus training and assembly certification.

The company’s roots can be traced back to 1998 and Eutex International – under the leadership of CEO Tommy Sutherland – was formed in early 2022 thanks to the merger of Eutex and ATEC which introduced a fully integrated hazardous area solution, from product supply and inspection to certification and training.

The sharp upturn in business during 2022 has also sparked a significant increase in headcount from 15 to 45, with another 20 people likely to be added in early 2023 as the company continues to keep pace with both clearing pent up demand and fulfilling future growth ambitions. These include expansion into new sectors, including petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, automation and aerospace.

From the company’s US foundations almost a quarter of a century ago, it has flourished to include registered offices and training facilities all over the world such as Australia, Canada, India, Myanmar, Scotland, Singapore, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.

Commenting on the success of 2022, Tommy Sutherland said: “During the Covid-19 pandemic, we were light on our feet to adjust how we did business, and this has resulted in revenues during 2022 surpassing pre-pandemic levels.

“With a new and improved client acquisition directive, offering turnkey hazardous area products and services has been a key revenue stream for us, as customers harnessed the potential and efficiencies of cable and gland assemblies.”

He added: “As we begin our 25th anniversary year, our ability to be nimble and flexible has served us well and enables us to look to the future with confidence and optimism.”
