Changes to the top team at Oilenco position the company for a strong future.
Aberdeen, Scotland: Oilenco Ltd, a leading provider of specialised well intervention solutions and services, has transformed its leadership team with a series of promotions and new roles.
Having joined Oilenco in 2017 as operations director, Blair McCombie has been appointed the company’s new managing director. As the company has grown, increasing revenue year-on-year, and almost doubling its workforce in the last two years, Blair has been instrumental in its success. Within his new role, Blair will continue to oversee the company’s overall performance and future direction.
To support Blair, and with a renewed focus on regional growth, Davie Nicoll is promoted to the role of business director for Africa. Davie joins Graham Masson, who Oilenco welcomed to the team as business director for UK and Europe earlier this year. With extensive experience across the well intervention industry, Davie and Graham will focus on implementing growth strategies for their respective regions.
And finally, to create a strategic focus on driving innovation, working with the team to develop new technologies to support their clients, Warren Ackroyd, owner of the company and previous managing director, steps into the new role of technical director. To complete the leadership team, Kim Ackroyd continues in her role as finance director.
“As well as expanding our global reach, one major component of growth is investment in developing our product portfolio through enhancing our existing products as well as new product development,” says Blair. “With Warren’s invaluable expertise and a dedicated team under his direction, we are able to listen to our clients, creating solutions that meet their needs, as well as the needs of the global well intervention and P&A industry.”
Blair continues, “the knowledge, experience, and creativity of the Oilenco team is what sets us apart and allows us to provide reliable, high-quality solutions and services. Since starting with the company, I have seen a shift to a more service-led environment, where clients rely on a variety of services including design, manufacture, redress, refurbishment, product rental and training, all within Oilenco’s capabilities and areas we will continue to develop. As we celebrate 15 years this year and we kick-start our next chapter, I am delighted to become managing director, leading the company in the next phase of its journey.”
