OGV Energy is supporting Scottish Companies at ADIPEC 2021

From 15-19th November 2021, the global energy industry will come together once again at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC).

In 2019 more than 145,000 energy professionals from 136 countries and more than 2200 exhibitors descended on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to negotiate deals, share best industry practice and network with their peers.

Amongst this number has always been a sizeable delegation from Scotland led by Scottish Development International (SDI) but due to recent UK government policy changes this will not be the case in 2021.

This year Aberdeen based media group OGV Energy will work with Global Scot Network and DMG Media to provide exhibition space and networking events for these Scottish companies, highlighting the opportunities that continue to exist in the North Sea as well as promoting the world-class companies and expertise available in Scotland and showcasing how Scottish companies are leading the way to address the global climate emergency that we are all facing.

ADIPEC is a crucial part of Scotland’s global development plan for the energy sector and the energy transition to a net zero future. Scotland have led the industry in this area by stating that they would work towards a net-zero target by 2045 at the latest (5 years earlier than the rest of the UK), with interim targets for reductions of at least 75% by 2030.

OGV Energy has been attending ADIPEC and promoting Scottish and UK based organisations for the past few years to ensure business leaders can engage directly with key decision makers by facilitating educational events, hosting themed pavilions and conducting insightful interviews.

In addition to the exhibition, OGV Energy will also host a business breakfast and an evening reception and networking event for the GlobalScot Network, an organisation which aims to connect organisations in Scotland with worldwide business and community leaders, to offer one-to-one support, global market knowledge and vital contacts.

Managing Director of OGV Energy, Kenny Dooley stated: “We are delighted to be supporting Scottish companies at ADIPEC this year. We hope to have over 30 companies exhibiting as part of the OGV Energy Pavilions in Hall 1, stand 1210 and Hall 4, stand 414. The OGV Energy pavilions will enable organisations to engage with VIP visitors as well as providing a platform for showcasing their products and services in person and online across our various digital media platforms”.

“Scotland has proven it has world class expertise within the energy sector and developing opportunities to showcase these and nurture vital business relationships is key to Scotland’s international growth and export market, so a key priority for OGV Energy is to help the energy supply chain to achieve this”.

OGV Energy have recently opened an office in Abu Dhabi, to add to their main office in Aberdeen and Houston premises and will seek to leverage their relationships and networks in these energy hubs as they continue to grow and deliver corporate communication services to their clients.
