New owners at the Drilling Waste EcoCentre, Peterhead

Augean North Sea Services (ANSS) the pre-eminent provider of waste and decommissioning services to the North Sea, is delighted to announce the acquisition of the EcoCentre at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. The acquisition both compliments and enhances the range of services ANSS offers the market including the ability to recycling and re-use a wider spectrum of waste materials.

ANSS assists the treatment, recycling and re-use of waste material derived from well drilling and maintenance activities on rigs (offshore) through to treatment, recycling and safe disposal of waste onshore.  The EcoCentre facility will allow our highly experienced staff to access and optimise existing and introduce further waste treatment processes for a broad range of offshore materials including drill cuttings and slop waters through a variety of novel technology processes and so forming our eco sensitive centre of excellence in this sector.

Commenting on the new acquisition, ANSS Managing Director, Simon Gibb said: “We pride ourselves on our unique ability to manage the full waste life cycle from start to finish in a modernised, fully compliant and greener way than ever before. By truly finding resilience in end-of-waste treatments and re-using post process materials, we have a variety of eco-friendly solutions at our disposal that will aid in reducing our carbon footprint. “

ANSS is a well-established business focused on providing complete waste management services to North Sea Oil & Gas operators. This acquisition and its resultant development, enhances their waste management services to the sector, building a complete offering to the client base, and building on ANSS’s reputation as market leaders in this service area.

The EcoCentre is conveniently located at the heart of the Oil & Gas supply chain, bringing with it an abundance of benefits for clients, and will help ANSS to achieve its vision of a waste-free, socially responsible circular economy for the sector.
