New leadership appointment and local move for top North East HSEQ consultancy

A leading North East-based consultancy is gearing up for an exciting new chapter as it prepares to move into larger premises under the guidance of a new managing director.

HSEQ consultancy Quensh, which operates from bases in Aberdeen and Perth, Western Australia, is gearing up to relocate to significantly larger premises in Ellon with newly-appointed MD Andy James at the helm.

The move to new facilities is a tactical one in line with business development strategies. Quensh’s new site will provide three times as much space and, crucially, it will offer scalability to grow as the headcount continues on an upward trajectory.  This year alone, Quensh has achieved a 50% increase in personnel across its UK and Asia Pacific operations.

Andy James has spent more than a decade in senior management positions with international energy firms operating within the UK, North and West Africa, the Middle East and South America.  His wealth of experience includes leading the successful restructuring of organisations, the introduction of new products and services and nurturing client and business relationships.

Commenting on Quensh’s new era, Andy James said: “My initial focus will be on ensuring that we have the right team in place to deliver our ambitious growth targets in the UK and in Australia.  Our new premises in Ellon will correctly position us to accommodate a growing team.

“In the last few years, Quensh has successfully strengthened its position in the market through organic growth, track record and reputation and we will use these as linchpins to take the business to the next level in terms of sectoral and geographic spread.”

Quensh Director and Shareholder Donna Hutchison added: “We are delighted to have Andy on board as we forge ahead with our long-term vision.  His knowledge and experience in driving companies forward will bring to the table multiple benefits as we navigate new opportunities, locations and revenue streams.”

Quensh offers the market a viable alternative to managing their HSEQ and to date has supported projects and clients in 25 countries across 6 continents. The Quensh team, including shareholder Andy Bruce who is still very much involved in overseeing business development, will continue to build on the success of the last 10 years by supporting the ‘next generation’ of HSEQ personnel.
