Leigh Reid takes on new role at ETPM to support ongoing company growth

Subsea and marine recruitment specialist ETPM is continuing its planned programme of growth and diversification across all sectors of the energy industry with the appointment of Leigh Reid to the newly created role of Business Development Manager.

Leigh will lead the company’s push into recruitment for the renewables, ROV and survey sectors as well as increasing ETPM’s global client base in subsea, marine, oil & gas.

“We see these as key sectors, not just for the industry, but for our ongoing company growth and Leigh’s role will be instrumental in developing these business streams,” said Jay Smith, Recruitment Manager at ETPM.

“Our focus since we were established 13 years ago, has been the subsea and marine sectors and this will continue to be at the heart of our core businesses. The industry is changing however and we want to be proactive in changing with it.

“We have been developing our plans for diversification since the start of 2020. This has been a challenging year for everyone but we are very confident that the way forward is positive. Leigh’s appointment is the first of several new job roles we will be creating across the business in the coming months.”

Leigh has more than 10 years’ experience in recruitment and sales in the O&G industry, beginning her career in ROV and survey recruitment.

“I’m really excited to be joining ETPM at this challenging time to help diversify and grow the company’s recruitment offering across existing areas of business and these new sectors,” she said.

“This has been an incredibly difficult time for the industry and getting the right people in place is crucial to support recovery. It’s very encouraging to be working for a company that is looking ahead and has the proven expertise and knowledge to continue to evolve to meet the industry’s changing recruitment needs.”

In recent months, ETPM also announced a new joint venture with start-up technology company Nudge Exchange which will provide ETPM’s clients and contractors with real-time information on contract requirements around the world.

It has also launched TrueDental Recruitment, a dental recruitment agency based in Aberdeen, which will specialise in the provision of dental candidates for practices across North-east Scotland.
