Developing Resilience with UTEC, Polaris Learning and Praesidio

Polaris Learning and Praesidio were delighted to work with a team of managers from UTEC to complete a two day Developing Resilience programme. 

UTEC, a provider of a wide range of survey, positioning and data management services, undertook the programme to complement its current leadership programme. UTEC is a Geo-services brand in Acteon’s Data and Robotics division.

Trevor Moore, Group Offshore Resources Manager, completed the programme with his colleagues, following his lunch and learn experience with Praesidio and Polaris Learning held in December 2022.

Trevor commented that: “the course met our company needs by developing further the team’s abilities to cope with the unplanned, as well as giving a clear understanding on how individually they can support each other to deal with the challenges facing them as managers. 

Other managers who participated, commented that the worked scenarios on the day helped them to really understand how different team members would react when faced with an unplanned event, and they now have a changed perspective as well as a decision making model that they can use when faced with the unexpected.”

This intensive programme has been designed to help managers build on their resilience so that they can cope with the unpredictability in their roles, and be in the best position to take decisive action under pressure.

It is a challenging and intensive programme that requires participants to take into account human factors, and develop further the ability to stay in control of their own emotions in complex and demanding situations. 

Developing Resilience is a joint programme between Praesidio and Polaris Learning.
