Brimmond kick starts the year with contract wins and delivers bespoke solutions to Tier 1 clients

 

Integrated engineering solutions company, Brimmond Group, has seen a busy start to 2019 with a range of engineered hydraulic solutions mobilising to a number of Tier 1 clients to support offshore operations in UKCS, Republic of Ireland, Dutch North Sea fields and more recently Angola.

The Aberdeenshire-based company, which specialises in hydraulic, mechanical and electrical engineering solutions, has recently mobilised solutions designed for specific projects, which included a mass excavation spread which comprised of; Umbilical spooler, umbilical, diesel HPU and hoses supported by a 5te winch to a new client.

In the first quarter the company has already mobilised diamond wire spreads (DWS) to subsea clients with each DWS package including; umbilical reeler, hoses and supported by 45kW electric HPU, with spreads specified to meet client specifications and work alongside clients’ equipment in spreads to work alongside clients’ equipment.

Their Kintore workshop, fully equipped for manufacture of units, builds, refurbishment, spooling and testing. New builds are well underway in Q1 with several 110kW HPUs that were designed and engineered in-house and now part of the rental fleet. Alongside 2 new 57kW diesel engines which are to power rental HPU units. At Subsea Expo Brimmond unveiled a new 45kW diesel HPU unit which will be raising money for the local charity Charlie House, the HPU is currently being prepared for mobilisation on its first project, fantastic news for the charity who will receive a percentage the rental revenue.

With Tier 1 companies looking for a mix of Capex assets and rental assets, Brimmond offers in-house design engineering team and a sizeable rental fleet of HPUs (electric, diesel and pneumatic), marine cranes, pumps & filtration systems, spoolers and reelers, pressure test equipment, flushing equipment and solids recovery systems the company is able to supply tailored solutions to its clients.

Our in-house design team and workshop are supported by our highly experienced offshore operators are available short notice to assist our clients with offshore support. We have recently supplied and commissioned a 440M 8S marine crane onboard a vessel working in West Africa to support divers golden gate operations. ”
